This is a relatively simple clinical mind map and is organized based upon the location of pain. Usually, a clinician can make an accurate diagnosis at the patient’s bedside, and there is almost no need for labs or imaging. There are almost no urgent/emergent situations unless a massive trauma leads to shock or organ damage, in which case the chief complaint would be something other than elbow pain.
